This paper review recent progress in improving the efficiency of residential appliances and lighting products in U.S. The third section addresses electricity saving potential in LDCs, based on the example of Brazil. The four section discusses the policies and programs tha can be used to stimulate grater end - use efficiencies in domestic equipment.
