Making more out of energy: National Action Plan on Energy Efficiency

2014

Energy efficiency is the twin pillar of the energy transition. The National Action Plan on Energy Efficiency (NAPE) sets out the Energy Efficiency Strategy of the Federal Govern-ment for the 18th legislative term. Energy efficiency and energy saving are more than just catchwords, because global demand for energy will continue to grow and this will also make itself felt in the future price. Essentially, the National Action Plan on Energy Efficiency defines cross-sectoral energy efficiency measures for the benefit of all stakeholders. Its three cornerstones are: 1. Stepping up energy efficiency in the building sector, 2. Establishing energy efficiency as an investment and business model and 3. Increasing individual responsibility for energy efficiency
