An electricity market for Germany's energy transition (White Paper)

2015

Germany’s power supply must remain cheap and reliable, especially as increasing amounts of wind and solar power come onto the market. This is because the general public, small businesses and industry rely on electricity being available as and when they need it, and on receiving an affordable electricity bill at the end of the month. The electricity market design can deliver an economic electricity supply if it permits fair and European competition between all power producers and consumers. In this White Paper are set out the various measures which will transform a electricity market 2.0 into reality.
