2008

978-1-56973-694-4

As biofuels become a larger part of the social, economic, and environmental strategies of countries around the world, standards and regulations are needed to ensure that biofuels do in fact reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and promote sustainable development. This article summarizes and updates the conclusions of a report released by the World Resources Institute in December 2007 (Childs & Bradley 2007 - Plants at the Pump: Biofuels, Climate Change, and Sustainability) [Extracto, Executive Summary, Note 1]
