This report discusses the means by which the natural process of anaerobic fermentation can be controlled by man for this benefit, and how the methane generated by this process can be used as fuel. The report includes a bibliography of more detailed works on the subject and a list of the panel members to whom techologists in developing countries may turn for direct assistance with specific problems, if necessary.
