During the period 1979 geotechical data were collected to study the feasibility of a proposed dam and associated structures at the Asturias project sites. Further subsurface information was gathered for detail design of the scheme in 1980. Hydrometeorological data was obtained from the existing hydrometeorological stations in the project area or its vicinity. The period of record varies from stataion up to a maximum of 27 years. ;
