This contribution shows the development of the Colombian Photovoltaic market for the last ten years (28190 systems, 1.85 MWp). This paper is limited to the Colombian case, but the author considers that some of the issues discussed are applicable other countries in the region. It points out aspects that should be taken into account for a massive penetration programme of photovoltaic systems in Latin America.
