The pilot plant for Wind Energy Studies of Garriguella (Girona) includes fives generators type P.E.U.I.-10, which are composed of 2 asyncronic motors of respective nominal powers 24 Kw and 5.5 Kw. They are mounted on a tower 12 m. high, its axis are horizontal and drive three glass-fiber blades of 5 m. length. For the beginning of the operations, particular stress has been given to the following items. -Velocity distributions and wind direction -Eolic potential of the zone -Performance generators -Fitting of theoretical models -Tests on network perturbations - Noise and vibrations tests.
