Assessment of electric power system planning models. Energy Department Paper.

This paper addresses both the models and methods for power generation and transmission planning. It provides, first, an overview of the methodology preferred by the Bank and of the prominent planning issues in developing countries. On this basis, the study attemps mext to assess the applicability of 45 models now available from leading utilities and consultants.
