Right lighting calculation programs are a valuable tool in the process of optimization of lighting comfort, energy consumption and maintenance costs. It is discussed that the overall accuracy of the programs depends on the alogarithm of the programm but particularly on the interaction between preciseness of the input data, calculation grid and the alogarithm.
