These are the proceedings of the fourth scientific event organised by European Wind Energy Association (EWEA) under the auspices of the European Academy of Wind Energy (EAWE). The objectives of the Academy include the development of long term R&D strategies, co-ordination of R&D activities of its members and to ensure high level education. One of the instruments used to reach these objectives is the organisation of conferences and seminars of a high scientific level. As the Academy’s ambition is to develop itself into the scientific branch of the European wind energy industry, it collaborates intensively with the European Wind Energy Association (EWEA) in setting up these events.
