This course focuses on solid state lighting (SSL) powered by renewable energy for use in the developing world. Topics covered include the technical aspects of SSL and renewable energy systems together with their very significant economic social and environmental impacts. The course will provide a broad awareness and deep appreciantion regarding the positive impacts resulting from the use of solid state lighting and renewable energy for human development.
