This project explores the prospect of using renewable sources of energy for produciong electricity and for energy conservation in the city of Bahía de Caráquez, located in the coastal zone of Ecuador. The purpose is to assit the city and improve the quality of life for the barrio communities that were resettled due to the damages causes by El Niño weather phenomena and the 1998 earthquake.
