The purpose of the seminar was to outline topics and procedures in the disaster preparedness planning, the structures and fuctions of national disaster management organizations and responsabilities of various national ministries and services in the event of a natural disaster. It provide an opportunity for participants to share their experiences in this field and to discuss possibilities for strengthening liaison between organization involved in disaster preparedness as prospects for improving co-operation in a regional context.
