This report presents technical issues related to the elimination of lead in gasoline, as well as country - specific case studies which illustrate how different aspects of gasoline lead phase - out have been examinated and implemented. The technical issues covered are the health impact of gasoline lead elimination, biological monitoring of lead, the effects of lead in gasoline and its elimination on vehicles, and motor fuel reformulation.
