The importance of environmental concerns and their relationship to economic development is recognized by governments. One significant response to this realization is reliance on assessment of environmental impacts. Environmental impact assessment is a procedure used in order to evaluate the effects of economic activity before a development takes place. The presente publications presents the state of the art and experience about EIA around the end of 1988.
