An ecological framework for environmental impact assessment in Canada

Environmental impact assessment in Canada has evolved into a fairly complicated sociopolitical phenomenon involving extensive administrative support systems. However, there is a growing concern within the assessment community that the scientific requirements and implications of such highly developed administrative procedures have not received similar attention. This report presents the results of a two-year designed to address this concern in the Canadian context.
