This paper includes presentations and discussions presented at the workshop. It includes findings from assessments in Latin America and the Caribbean about observed climate trends and projected changes, socioeconomic changes, present climate risks, potential future impacts, vulnerability, and options and capacity for adapting to climate change. Also discussed were means of linking scientific assessments with decision-making, integration of adaptation into development policies, capacity building needs, national communications to the UNFCCC, and priorities for activities to follow the current AIACC project.
