Optimization model for the oil refining industry in Central America

The purpose of this model is to optimize the supply and demand flows of petroleum products for the countries of the Central American region, for the period 1991 - 2010. The function of the model is to minimize total supply costs to the region. The model simulates the operation of the refineries and chooses the optimal level of operations given the demand requirements, the various costs, profit margins, prices as well as tecnhical and export restrictions.
