Private sector participation in power through boot schemes

This report reviews the issues and options for private sector participation in power supply by means of Build-Own-Operate-Transfer (BOOT) schemes, particulary in developing countries. This report focuses on the practical issues for implementing successfully the BOOT approach for power development from he different perspectives of host governments, power utilities and financiers as well as investors, suppliers and contractors from the private sector.
