Prefeasibility study on cool storage systems

The objectives of the prefeasibility study were to overview cool storage systems and media in current use, to investigate the potential of using cooling storage systems particulary in food industry and to outline the possibility of storing natural cool. In the present study costs and tariffs currently valid in Finland were used. However, the results should show similar trends in a country with peak load plants characterized with high running costs and/or with considerable difference between day and nigjt tariffs.
