Factors affecting methane yield and production rate

The effects of temperature, ration constituentes, antibiotics and manure age on methane yield, and mixing and vacuum fermentation on methane production rate are discussed. Our results showed that temperature and antibiotics do not affect the methane yield; however, monensin did delay the start of active fermentation in batch fermenters.
