The geothermal activity carried out by ENEL is concerned mainly with : exploitation of the Larderello and M. Amiata fields, from which 13 billion kWh were produced in the period considered; completion of preliminary investigations in the pre - Apennine belt, convering some 20,000 km from Larderello to Naples; discovery of a new steam field and installation of a 15 MW power plant in the Travale - Radicondoli region.
