MODELADO DE UN SISTEMA DE ALMACENAMIENTO BASADO EN UN BANCO DE SUPERCONDENSADORES

2017

In view of the increase in per capita energy consumption and the environmental damage caused by fossil fuels, the use of renewable energies, such as solar and wind energy, has emerged as alternatives. The variations of the winds and the solar radiation produce that these are not used like primary sources of generation in an electrical system. To solve this de ciency, several research topics have emerged, as well as new applications and technologies. To improve the reliability of solar and wind energy, it is proposed to create a storage system based on Supercapacitors. These store less energy than other technologies, but have a higher power density, creating a system that compensates the di erences between generation and consumption. In order to use Supercapacitors in any application, an appropiate model is required. In this work, di erent forms of modeling will be considered and experimental tests will be carried out to obtain the model of a real Supercapacitor, quantifying the reliability of the model used and the sensitivity of this one to some parameters. Finally the model obtained next to a photovoltaic plant will be simulated, controlling the power injected to the grid.
