Este trabajo presenta el análisis de las técnicas de sincronización de un sistema OFDM (Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing). Para lo cual, se presenta la simulación de un sistema OFDM formado por transmisor, canal, receptor y sincronización en el receptor. La sincronización se logra a través de diferentes técnicas para estimar el STO (Symbol Time Offset) y el CFO (Carrier Frequency Offset). Los resultados se presentarán en histogramas que indiquen el porcentaje de acierto en la estimación del STO, gráficas del MSE (Mean Squared Error) de la estimación del CFO y se comparará el rendimiento de las técnicas mediante tablas y gráficas del BER vs Eb/No de la señal recibida. Además, se analizará como la presencia de diferentes factores, como es el efecto de un canal Rayleigh o tener STO y CFO simultáneamente, afectan el rendimiento de las técnicas de sincronización.

This work presents the analysis of the synchronization techniques of an OFDM (Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing) system. For which, the simulation of an OFDM system consisting of transmitter, channel, receiver and synchronization in the receiver is presented. Synchronization is achieved through different techniques to estimate the STO (Symbol Time Offset) and the CFO (Carrier Frequency Offset). The results will be presented in histograms that indicate the percentage of success in the STO estimation, MSE graphs (Mean Squared Error) of the CFO estimation and the performance of the techniques will be compared using tables and graphs of the BER vs Eb / No of the received signal. In addition, it will be analyzed how the presence of different factors, such as the effect of a Rayleigh channel or having STO and CFO simultaneously, affect the performance of synchronization techniques.
