Desde el inicio de la medicina, médicos especialistas, centros de salud, hospitales, clínicas, etc., han tenido la necesidad de llevar la información de cada una de las personas que se acercan a ocupar un servicio de atención médica en un documento llamado “historial clínico”. En la actualidad a pesar de los grandes avances en tecnología hay especialistas en Traumatología en la clínica “Club de Leones Quito” que siguen guardando esta información en documentos escritos; un método que puede presentar problemas con el contenido, escritura ilegible, datos faltantes, formato pobre, dificultad en el acceso y la disponibilidad. En base a estos antecedentes, el presente Proyecto de Titulación propone el diseño e implementación de una aplicación, para especialistas de traumatología del “Club de Leones Quito”, que permita crear, almacenar, editar y eliminar información necesaria de pacientes a través de un smartphone con sistema operativo Android. El almacenamiento de esta información será gestionado en un ambiente Cloud Computing, a través de la selección de un proveedor. Así, el desarrollo del presente Proyecto de Titulación permitirá que especialistas en traumatología tengan un mejor manejo del historial clínico de sus pacientes, y así mismo agilitar el proceso ya que el paciente tendrá la opción de subir sus exámenes médicos al repositorio cloud. Todo esto con el propósito de cambiar el uso del método actual y hacer uso de la tecnología.

From the beginning of medicine, medical specialists, health centers, hospitals, clinics, etc., have had the need to bring the information of each of the people who come to occupy a health care service in a document called “medical history”. At present, despite the great advances in technology there are specialists in Traumatology in the clinic "Club de Lions Quito" who keep this information in written documents; a method that can present problems with content, illegible writing, missing data, poor format, difficulty in access and availability. Based on this background, this Titration Project proposes the design and implementation of an application for traumatology specialists of the “Club de Leones Quito”, which allows creating, storing, editing and eliminating necessary patient information through a smartphone with Android operating system. The storage of this information will be managed in a Cloud Computing environment, through the selection of a provider. Thus, the development of the present Titration Project will allow traumatology specialists to have a better management of the clinical history of their patients, and also expedite the process since the patient will have the option of uploading their medical exams to the cloud repository. All this with the purpose of changing the use of the current method and making use of technology.
