The present project aims at the development of a prototype videoconference application, that bases its operation in a middleware that implements functionalities of the technologies Data Distribution System (DDS) and Real Time Publish Suscribe (RTPS). First, a brief study of the specific characteristics and performance defined in the standard published by the Object Management Group (OMG), and the middleware DDS-RTPS, which will be in charge of the information step. Subsequently, the necessary requirements for the implementation of the modules that make up the prototype videoconference application are defined, these are audio, video, control and DDS-RTPS developed in C# language. A brief summary of the design, interaction between modules and implementation is presented. Finally an operating environment is presented, where the application will be tested in a network of four computers that exchange information (audio and video).

El presente proyecto de titulación tiene como objetivo el desarrollo de una aplicación prototipo de videoconferencia, que basa su funcionamiento en un middleware que implementa funcionalidades de las tecnologías Data Distribution System (DDS) y Real Time Publish Suscribe (RTPS). En primer lugar, se realiza un breve estudio de las características específicas y el funcionamiento definidos en el estándar publicado por el Object Management Group (OMG), y el middleware DDS-RTPS, que estará encargado del paso de la información. Posteriormente se definen los requisitos necesarios para la implementación de los módulos que componen la aplicación prototipo de videoconferencia, éstos son audio, video, control y DDS-RTPS desarrollados en lenguaje C#. Se presenta un breve resumen del diseño, interacción entre los módulos e implementación. Finalmente se presenta un ambiente de pruebas de funcionamiento, donde la aplicación será probada en una red de cuatro computadores que intercambian información (audio y video).
