Energy efficiency and functional performance requirements for general service lamps.
2018
354.43/P738tri
This model regulation addresses the following for general service lighting products: energy efficiency and functional performance requirements; product information reporting and labelling requirements; demonstrating compliance with the requirements; and market surveillance and enforcement of the requirements. The policy guidance presented in this document is meant to be a starting point for policy-makers in developing and emerging economies, to encourage regional harmonisation where possible, lowering costs and removing barriers to trade. The work presented in this supplement represents the best available information at the time of publication, however the authors recognise that LED technology is rapidly evolving, as are the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) and International Commission on Illumination (CIE) standards that underpin the metrics and requirements set out in this report, thus countries are encouraged to investigate current requirements and standards at the time of adoption.
