The purpose of this report is to provide developers, owners, and operators of CC wind projects the best available information on this topic and thus reduce the risks and accelerate the growth of wind energy production. This document also provides preparatory information that should benefit manufacturers, banks, and insurance companies. The document includes sections on site considerations, measurement programs, project design, installation, operations and maintenance (O&M), and decommissioning. Each section addresses issues that are unique to wind energy in CCs. Although the document may be read cover to cover, sections 5 through 9 are meant to be stand alone, providing specific recommendations for the different stages of project life.
