The objective of this safety guide is to provide generic guidance on the application of the requirements for the protection of members of the public against radiation exposure and protection of the environment. It is intended for use by: governments; regulatory bodies; registrants and licensees, or the person or organization responsible for facilities and activities for which notification only is required in planned exposure situations; those persons or organizations designated to deal with emergency exposure situations or existing exposure situations.
