Aprovechamiento del agua pluvial en el poblado de Lourdes, San Juan, Abangares, Guanacaste

2017

Proyecto de Graduación (Licenciatura en Ingeniería en Construcción) Instituto Tecnológico de Costa Rica, Escuela de Ingeniería en Construcción, 2017.

To design a rainwater collection system for Lourdes, San Juan, Abangares, Guanacaste’s inhabitants, to take advantage of rain water, considering the rainfall decrease in the last few years, this represents a risk in the recharge of aquifers in the zones where the drinking water is collected. To design the rainwater collection system, it was required to retrieve the last 10 years of rainfall data collected by the nearest weather station system, diagnostic in the zone with the preexisting rain evacuation system, in both structures and network. If the project can be executed, the inhabitants will benefit with the implementation of a rainwater collection system, which will reduce the consumption of drinking water from the current aqueduct, and also will represent important cost savings in their monthly bill.
