Diseño y selección de dos sistemas de riego por microaspersión y goteo para rambután (Nephelium Lappaceum L.) en la zona de Quepos

2018

Proyecto de Graduación (Licenciatura en Ingeniería Agrícola) Instituto Tecnológico de Costa Rica, Escuela de Ingeniería Agrícola, 2018

The work carried out consisted of the design of the irrigation system by the private company Durman Esquivel to irrigate 17.6 hectares of Rambutan in the canton of Quepos, Puntarenas, Costa Rica; the irrigation must be used as a complement because the area provides the precipitation needed by the crop, in addition, the client's wish was that the system was completely disconnected from the electrical network so the filling of the reservoir as the operation of the irrigation system had to work without consuming energy from it; for the design of the proposals the concept of the classic valve is used, which allows to analyze in a small area the hydraulic and economic aspects of the complete project; due to the characteristics of the available solar pumps, the options were to combine the solar pumping with a secondary support pumping from a river nearby or accept the connection to the electric network to install a single submersible pump of greater power; in the case of the micro sprinkler system and only solar pumping in the drip case, economically the drip system worked more profitably speaking, however it is more appropriate to install the microaspersion proposal; the project in general has an irrelevant environmental impact and a favorable social impact given that being an agro-chain directly affects the regional economy in several aspects.
