Gestión Energética en procesos de elaboración y producción como estrategia de eficiencia operativa para una planta de bebidas

2018-02-06T20:28:33Z

Costa Rica's energy matrix has shown serious problems of sustainability in recent decades. While progress has been made regarding the efficient use of energy, there is still a long way to go to improve this trend (State of the Nation, 2011). According to the National Energy Balance, the industrial sector is responsible for 23% of the country's total energy consumption and one of the sectors that contributes most to this consumption is the production of beverages (MINAE, 2015). This type of industry consumes a lot of energy and Florida Ice & Farm is one of the companies with the highest concentration of beer and beverages (FIFCO, 2013). The overall objective of this research includes the development of proposals for energy management in high consumption areas including preparation and beverage production processes by energy consumption indicators. The objective will be achieved by reviewing daily records of consumption of water, electricity and thermal energy. In addition, observations on site were carried out in order to get information and identify efficient operation in the use of machinery and equipment by operators. As a result, tables are presented with opportunities for improvement in the efficient use of machines and equipment for preparation and production areas with a greater impact on energy and water consumption.
