The purpose of this work is to develop a methodological guide for the selection, prioritization and evaluation of projects through a portfolio for Allergan Medical of Costa Rica As part of the process, a documentary review, interviews and questionnaires were carried out to determine the current situation of the company in the process of selecting its projects, which allowed to identify how aligned are the projects with the strategic objectives. This document also provides the information required in the field of portfolio management focused on the first three phases of the model chosen for the preparation of the methodological guide for project selection, prioritization and evaluation. The portfolio management model used to develop the theoretical and conceptual framework of the guide is proposed by Michael J. Bible and Susan S. Bivins (2011), in them bibliography "Mastering Project Portfolio Management". The final deliverable is a methodological guidance that helps the selection and prioritization process that was configured according to the needs of the company which the aids have a portfolio of projects.
