Ahorro de energía en el sistema de aire comprimido, siguiendo el Programa Lean Energy de Baxter Productos Médicos

2016

Proyecto de Graduación (Licenciatura en Ingeniería en Mantenimiento Industrial) Instituto Tecnológico de Costa Rica, Escuela de Ingeniería Electromecánica, 2016.

Córdoba R, Luis Felipe. May 2016. Energy Savings in Compressed Air System, following the Lean Energy Program Baxter Medical Products., Project Graduation. Costa Rica Institute of Technology. The project was developed in the company Baxter Medical Products, medical device manufacturing company located in the industrial park of Cartago and was to develop proposals for energy saving compressed air system. The objective was to improve by 5% the energy performance of the system. In the diagnosis of the current situation could be determined that the compressors represent the most energy cost of the plant, the company also lacks a program of leak detection and correction even though they have started monitoring in work and savings. The proposed improvements include: determining the performance of compressors machines home # 1, also reducing the discharge pressure of the compression equipment and finally an integral program to eliminate leaks in compressed air, all these proposals being controlled by energy performance indicators. The successful implementation of the leak program was achieved, obtaining an improvement of 8.4% higher than what was initially proposed. Analyzing the benefits of this proposal $13.410 and 158.609kWh annual savings.
