This engineering proposal's main objective is the improvement of availability through reduced downtime through a quantitative research, based on an explanatory non-experimental approach. The following objectives are specifically addressed to this goal: 1. Evaluate the maintenance management of the line by calculating availability. 2. Determine the critical line equipment according to the historical fault. 3. Define the root cause of unscheduled shutdowns through the model of the 16 large loss of maintenance. 4. Design tools that allow autonomous maintenance decrease downtime in the production line MECATHERM 3. 5. Choose and objectify the acquisition of a cooling system to stabilize and regulate the relative humidity in the inlet and outlet of IQF. It is expected to justify theoretically the importance of the conditions recommended by the manufacturer regarding operation of equipment. It also seeks to integrate the production staff in basic maintenance to develop commitment with the proper functioning of the line. In this way it will stabilize the monthly availability by 90 % and improve the target up to 95 %.
