The development, construction and operation of an energy efficient home is described. The home is designed to be efficient not only its direct, local use of electrical energy but also efficient in local water use and sewerage generation, reducing the energy used for water supply and wastewater treatment. Camberra is inusual in that a single statutory authority is responsible for all three services.
