In this paper we develope a simplified method to calculate the thermal performance of a solar passive building. The method is based on the assumed periodic nature of the external and internal excitations and uses the harmonic analysis for solving the resulting system of algebraic and differential equations. We compare the method developed with a detailed hour by hour model and find considerable agreement betweenn them, with only a few harmonics.. ABSTRACT. INTRODUCTION. DERIVATION OF THE ALGORITHMS FOR FREQUENCY RESPONSE. Periodic heat flow through walls. Superficial heat balances. Heat balance for the room air. CLIMATIC MODEL. APPLICATION. CONCLUSIONS. REFERENCES.
