The vyrmethane method is a new peat exploitation technology. There is in Sweden a pilot plant in operation since 1978, where it is studied how the peat can be effectively converted to methane gas directly in the bog itself. The results have made it plain that the methane gas can ve generated continuously from the bog all year round
