Laboratory, small pilot, and field work on the development of a process for the gasification of municipal solid wastes and sewage sludge has had a number of objetives. These include increasing the production of methane and the solids destruction efficiency, cost reduction, evaluating, selecting, integrating unit operations, and improving the overall process design.
