The general objective of the present work was to develop a proposal of enviromental interpretation of natural history in the trail Las Súrtubas, located in Volcán Viejo Biological Station, in Juan Castro Blanco National Park. To develop the enviromental interpretation, representative subjects of the site and it´s natural history were chosen. These subjects will help visitors to understand in a better way the process of ecological succession that the forest has experienced over time. Besides, elements that allowed visitors to understand the importance of water's conservation in this national park. To develop the proposal, three field trips were carried out to the station. The first visit allowed to recognize the trail and define five possible interpretative stations. During the second field visit, a GPS was used to mark the trail and the stations where the interpretative elements would be located. In a third visit, a camera was used to get pictures, necessary for the design of the signs. The obtained results were an interpretative sketch of Las Súrtubas trail, the identification and interpretation of the six stations, which were: ecological succession, light gaps in the forest, forest's regeneration, forest and water, hidrologycal cycle, and wetland. The interpretative signs were designed according to the guideline proposed in the Manual for Signage for Protected Wildlife Areas published by the National System of Conservation Areas (SINAC). Finally, an informative and divulgative brochure of the national park was designed. Pictures of common species presented in Las Súrtubas trail were included in the brochure.
